Christmas special of stand-up from Liverpool comedians on the UK circuit, hosted by Andy Roach at Hot Water Comedy Club.
The Scouse House is back for a Christmas special at Hot Water Comedy Club on Saturday 5 December, with a bill that pulls together some of the city's best stand-up. The night is run by Hot Water Comedy, widely regarded as the UK's best comedy promoter and based right here in Liverpool, and the lineup follows their usual format: a mix of local names and guests from across the North.
Your host is Andy Roach, a Liverpool comedian who's worked the UK circuit and performed internationally, including a run at Perth FRINGE in Australia. He's had two successful runs at the Edinburgh Fringe over the last couple of years, and he's also the creator of the podcast The Scouse House, which features ex-footballer Jamie Carragher. He'll be steering the night, with Liverpool comedians working the UK circuit filling out the bill.
Joining him are two guests from further afield. Karl Porter is a North West comedian known for a cheeky, self-deprecating style, and Hayley Ellis comes from Manchester, where she was a regular contributor to XFM's breakfast show. Between them and the local acts, the night should give you a good cross-section of the comedy coming out of the region.
