The Paper Doll Christmas Cracker Making Experience

The Paper Doll are hosting a Christmas cracker making workshop at The Municipal Hotel & Spa Liverpool on Saturday 14 November, from 5:30pm to 8:30pm. It's a three-hour session, and they've framed it as a luxury, personalised experience rather than your usual craft class.

The personal bit happens before you even arrive. You'll be asked to share something about yourself — hobbies, favourite things, a treasured memory, a favourite Christmas film, or a Christmas theme you love. The team then uses those details to pick out the papers, ribbons, trims and embellishments for you, so the cracker you end up with is tailored to your tastes rather than something everyone makes from the same kit. Once you're in the room, Sarah leads the group step-by-step through the traditional art of making a Christmas cracker from scratch, a craft the company says it's been perfecting for 17 years.

They describe the finished result as "too posh to pull", and suggest it works as a festive home decoration or as a thoughtful, personalised gift. Under-14s can join in as long as they're with a parent or legal guardian. Tickets are £65.71, and there are no refunds, so it's one to commit to if you're keen.
