Disney classics given a 'very naughty drag makeover' with drag, games, karaoke and audience interaction led by Linda Gold and the FunnyBoyz queens.
The Disney Afternoon Tea is at FunnyBoyz Liverpool on Friday 30 October, starting at 16:00. It's the venue's own take on Disney classics, and they're not holding back on the twist: they call it a 'very naughty drag makeover'.
Linda Gold and the FunnyBoyz queens lead the afternoon, and the whole thing trades the family-friendly fairy tale for Disney-inspired drag, games, karaoke and audience interaction. You're encouraged to turn up dressed as a Disney character, so if you've got a costume you've been waiting for an excuse to wear, this is a good spot for it. The house tagline sums it up: 'Forget the family-friendly fairy tale.'
It's an afternoon session rather than a late one, so it works if you want something to do before the evening properly kicks in. The Disney theme runs through the whole thing, but the drag and the karaoke mean it's more about the party than the original stories. Between the games and the interaction, you're as much part of the afternoon as you are watching it.
