A drag afternoon of Disney themes with games, karaoke and audience interaction hosted by FunnyBoyz's drag queens.
The Disney Afternoon Tea is back at FunnyBoyz Liverpool on Friday 5 February, starting at 16:00. It's a FunnyBoyz production that takes childhood Disney classics and gives them a very naughty drag makeover. The afternoon is hosted by the venue's own drag queens, who mix Disney-inspired drag with games, karaoke and plenty of audience interaction — and a few moments Walt definitely wouldn't have approved of.
Dressing up is very much encouraged: princess, villain, prince or any Disney character you fancy, and the more ridiculous the better. If you've got a costume gathering dust in the wardrobe, this is a good excuse to bring it out.
For a bit of context on the venue, FunnyBoyz is a drag-queen-hosted spot on Blundell Street that bills itself as 'the FunnyBoyz experience' — a mix of drag shows, bingo, silly games and tribute acts. They run a wide range of themed nights and brunches, including ABBA, Benidorm Bingo, Dirty Grease, VEGAS and Madonna tributes, as well as drag karaoke, cabaret shows and Disney Villains brunches. The Disney Afternoon Tea fits right into that rotation.
