Amol Rajan brings his live talk show, in which he interviews a different guest each night and takes audience questions, to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
Amol Rajan brings his live talk show, The Amol Rajan Connection: Live, to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on Monday 10 May 2027, starting at 7:30pm. It's part of a ten-venue tour running from 7 March to 18 June, with stops including Richmond Theatre, Beacon Hall in Bristol, Symphony Hall in Birmingham and Barbican Hall in London.
If you've followed his work, you'll know the range he covers. He spent five years on Radio 4's Today programme, hosts the Radical with Amol Rajan podcast, and has stepped in as host of University Challenge. Over those roles, he's interviewed everyone from prime ministers and tech billionaires to novelists and pop stars, and he's built a bit of a reputation for getting people to say the thing they didn't plan to.
The show itself is a live talk show set up to decode the forces shaping our modern world. Each night he sits down with a different guest, and the format is stripped back: no autocue, no rehearsed answers, and no topics off limits. The audience gets to ask their own questions, and they're not just limited to politics — The Celebrity Traitors is mentioned as one of the things that might come up. Because the guest changes every night, no two shows are the same.
