Festive comedy and drama show, in its fifth year, at the Royal Court Theatre's basement Studio in Roe Street.
Stocking Fillers is back at The Royal Court Theatre Studio on Roe Street, running from Friday 4 December through to Wednesday 30 December 2026. It's now in its fifth year as part of the theatre's festive mix of comedy and drama, so it's become a bit of a December fixture for the venue.
If you're not familiar with the setup, the Studio is the basement space at the Royal Court. While the main auditorium holds 1,186, the Studio is a 150-seat room that hosts smaller theatre productions and stand-up comedy. It's a good size for this kind of thing — small enough that you're close to the action, but with enough of a crowd to carry a comedy night. The Royal Court itself opened in 1881 on the site of Cooke's Royal Amphitheatre of Arts, and its stage is claimed by Richard Burton and Judi Dench as the place of their professional debuts. The nautical-themed Art Deco building on Roe Street is a well-known Liverpool landmark, and the Studio is tucked away in its basement.

The show runs for nearly four weeks, from the first Friday of December right up to the 30th, so there's no rush to pick a date early on — you can go in the first week or wait until closer to the holiday. It's at the Royal Court Theatre Studio, the basement space on Roe Street in Liverpool, and it runs from Friday 4 to Wednesday 30 December 2026.
