Split the Ticket, the Leeds indie and alternative rock act, play Kazimier Stockroom on Seel Street for its first headline autumn tour.
Split The Ticket play Kazimier Stockroom on Wednesday 4 November, their first headline tour this autumn. The Leeds-based indie/alternative rock act are taking the show to Liverpool as part of a run of dates to celebrate their upcoming EP, so the set will be built around the new material they're preparing for release.
They describe their sound as a blend of grunge, shoegaze and post-punk, and they pull those three into an atmospheric, hard-hitting and grizzly brand of alternative rock. If you're familiar with those styles, you'll get the drift: the wall of sound from shoegaze, the grit of grunge and the jagged edges of post-punk, all working together rather than sitting side by side. It's a fair bit heavier than your average indie night, and the 'grizzly' tag gives a good hint of the texture they're going for.
The venue is Kazimier Stockroom, a micro-event space in the Kazimier Garden on Seel Street. It's a small room, with a capacity of 80 to 100 people, and it's known for live music, comedy, film and other performances. Because it's a small space, you'll be close to the stage, which suits a band that leans on the heavier, more atmospheric side of things.

Tickets start from £9.00, with all fees included. The show runs from 7:00pm to 11:00pm, and it's for ages 18 and over. If you're into the louder, fuzzier end of alternative rock, this is one to keep on your radar.
