Power ballad special from the UK music quiz company Sounds Familiar, with over 100 tunes from the 1960s to today.
Sounds Familiar is coming to The Arts Club on Friday 27 November, and this stop is a Power Ballad special. It's a music quiz night, but they describe it as a full-blown night out disguised as a quiz, and they're not kidding about the music: you'll hear over 100 tunes spanning the 1960s to the present day. The set is built from chart classics, indie anthems, power ballads, mash-ups and current bangers, with zero boring trivia to slow things down.
If you're wondering who's behind it, the organisers have sold out the Camden Roundhouse and played Glastonbury Festival more times than David Bowie. They've got a reputation for high energy and a crowd that gets stuck in, and they say Liverpool crowds always bring the chaos. Five-star reviews call it 'one of the best nights out there', 'a real fun event where everyone can join in' and 'absolutely cracking', with fab hosts running the show.
The Power Ballad theme puts the big, singalong moments front and centre, so it's the kind of night that works best when you're there with a group. The music runs from the sixties right up to the present, so it's not just one era — you'll be jumping from old-school classics to more recent hits across the whole evening.
