Immersive two-course dining experience with live Motown and soul music in the Isla Gladstone Conservatory, billed as an 18+ party.
Soul Supper is back at The Isla Gladstone Conservatory on Sunday 8 November, an immersive two-course dining experience built around Motown and soul. It's a long afternoon, running from 3pm to 7pm, with the performances themselves wrapping up around 6pm. The whole thing starts with a glass of prosecco on arrival, and from there it's a mix of eating and listening, with live music running through the meal. The setlist pulls from the Motown songbook — Marvin Gaye, the Temptations, the Four Tops and the Supremes — and there's a room to dance and sing along to the classics if you're in the mood.
It's a banquet-style setup, so you'll be sharing a table with other guests. If you're not in the VIP section, your seat is allocated at random, which is one of those things that makes it a bit of a social affair rather than a quiet dinner. The organisers bill it as an 18+ party, and while there's no formal dress code, they do encourage smart attire for what they describe as a swinging Motown night. If you're celebrating a birthday, there's a Soul Supper cake available to add to the table.
It's not a new act, either. Soul Supper has picked up the Family & Visitor Attraction Award and hundreds of five-star reviews on Design My Night, so it's a known quantity. The venue is the Isla Gladstone Conservatory in Anfield, a Victorian glasshouse that works well for this kind of thing — plenty of light and space to move around when the music takes over.

There are a few ways to do it. The general meal ticket is £70.14 and covers the two-course meal, the welcome drink and the show. If you want a front-row view, the VIP meal ticket is £79.44. For those who just want the music, there's a show-only ticket for £43.98, which includes the drink but no food. If you're bringing a group, there's a discounted ticket for £64.74, provided you book at least two. It runs from 3pm to 7pm on Sunday 8 November at The Isla Gladstone Conservatory, 1 Anfield Rd, L4 0TD.
