Evening with film screenings, live performance and panel discussion bringing together two generations of Young Homotopia around Project Triangle.
Playback brings Project Triangle to FACT on Tuesday 24 November, as part of the Young Homotopia programme. It's an evening that pulls together film screenings, live performance and a panel discussion, all built around Project Triangle and bringing together two generations of Young Homotopia to talk through it. If you're into queer cinema and the conversations that happen around it, this is one of those nights that gives you the work and the discussion in the same sitting.
The whole thing sits inside Homotopia 2026, titled We Come Together, which is the UK's longest-running LGBTQIA+ arts and culture festival. It's been running in Liverpool since 2004, and this edition marks 22 years of queer artistic excellence. This is the first festival directed by Executive Director Jayne Compton, who frames the programme as a gathering and an act of hope and resistance, championing creativity to challenge injustice and affirm LGBTQIA+ lives. The theme also honours the legacy of Liverpool-born trans model and pioneer April Ashley.

Homotopia runs from 17 October to 1 December 2026, four weeks of performance, visual art, film, music, workshops and club nights across the city. It opens with House of Suarez's 20th Anniversary Runway and holds a vigil at Liverpool Parish Church on World AIDS Day. Project Triangle falls towards the end of that run, on Tuesday 24 November at FACT.
