One-day in-person theatre experience where attendees write, rehearse and perform a Halloween-themed play together.
Play in a Day is back in Liverpool on Sunday 25 October, this time with a Halloween theme. It's an in-person, one-day theatre experience where everyone who signs up writes, rehearses and performs a play together in a single session. The whole thing is built around a Halloween vibe of creepy fun, spooky games and laughter, so the script and the performance will lean into that.
One of the best things about it is that it's open to everyone, from first-time drama newcomers to seasoned actors. You don't need any previous experience to take part, and it's as much a chance to make new friends as it is to get on stage. The day is also suitable for children aged 11 to 16, so it works as a family outing if you've got younger ones who fancy a go at acting.
If you're bringing children, there are a few practical bits to keep in mind. They'll need a packed lunch, some snacks and a bottle of water to get them through the day. No nuts are allowed on the premises, but water and fruit are provided throughout. It's a full day's commitment, so coming prepared means you can focus on the play rather than the catering.
