Stand-up show 'Infectious' by nurse-turned-comedian Georgie Carroll at the Hot Water Comedy Club in Blackstock Market.
Nurse Georgie Carroll brings her show Infectious to Hot Water Comedy Club on Sunday 25 October, a matinee that gets you home well before dark. It's a solo stand-up set, with Carroll as the only name on the bill.
The title Infectious points to where the material comes from. Carroll is a UK-born, Australia-based nurse who spent around twenty years on the healthcare front line before retiring to stand-up. That's a lot of time in wards and clinics to draw on, and it's the ground her comedy is built from. She's not new to the stage, either: her award-winning show Sista Flo 2.0 ran for three sold-out seasons across the UK, New Zealand and Australia, and Simon Cowell called her "Really Funny... Just Brilliant."

It's a matinee, so it's a good one if you're not a night owl. Doors open at 14:30, the show starts at 16:00 and wraps up by 17:20, leaving you the whole evening still ahead of you. Tickets start from £23.50, and the Liverpool date is currently sold out, though there's a waiting list you can join if you're still keen. You'll find the club at Blackstock Market, 17 Blackstock Street, Liverpool L3 6ER.
