Matinee Headline Comedy Special

Hot Water Comedy Club is running a Matinee Headline Comedy Special at Blackstock Market on Saturday 24 October, starting at 1:00pm. It's a daytime slot, so you're in and out long before the evening rush, which makes it a decent shout if you've got plans later on or just fancy a laugh without staying up late.

The format is straightforward: a headline comedy show in the middle of the day. The club describes these matinees as showcasing some of the finest comedians from across the UK and beyond, bringing world-class comedy to the room a little earlier in the day. It's the same headline-led setup you'd expect from a night show, just shifted forward. If you're usually a late-night comedy person, this is a way to get your fix while it's still light outside.

Because it's a matinee, it works well if you're in the city for the day and want something to slot in between other bits and pieces. You're not committing your whole evening to it, so you can still head out for dinner or catch another show later on. It's a good one to suggest to friends who aren't usually up for a late one, or if you're just looking for a bit of entertainment that doesn't eat into your Saturday night.

Tickets are £6.00, and it all kicks off at 1:00pm at Blackstock Market.
