ABBA-themed disco night with live ABBA hits by DreamBoys at DYSCO, over 18s only.
DreamBoys & ABBA are at Dysco in Liverpool on Saturday 2 January, part of the club's Saturday night run. It's billed as an ABBAMania party, an ABBA-themed disco night where the evening is built around the Swedish group's greatest hits performed live. If you've spent any time in the city's club scene, you'll know the drill: it's a night for singing along to the songs everyone knows, rather than a seated concert.
The night takes its name and its hook from the venue's resident stripper, the self-styled 'Man After Midnight', who adds a cheeky twist to the tribute. The whole thing is built around that one ABBA track, and the resident performer is the one who puts the 'Man' in the title. It's a bit of a wink and a nod to the source material, and it's what sets this apart from your standard tribute night.

If you're planning to go, there are a few things to keep in mind. Entry is restricted to over-18s, and you'll need a valid ID to get through the door. If you're going with a group, the club does VIP packages, including a Disco Diva option and drinks packages with private booths, so you can sort your spot in advance rather than winging it on the night. The music runs from 10:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., so it's a late one that goes well into the early hours.
