Liverpool Christmas Wonderland Ice Rink opens at Liverpool Christmas Wonderland, Pier Head on Friday 20 November, running through to Saturday 21 November. It's a free ice rink, so you can get on the ice without paying for entry, and it's part of the wider Christmas Wonderland taking over the Pier Head during the festive season.

If you're not one for the big crowds, these two days are a good window to get a session in. It's right in the heart of the city, so it's easy to reach by bus or train, and since it's free, it's one of those things you can just drop into without much planning. You'll find it at the Pier Head, L3 1DD, tucked into the Christmas Wonderland site, which means there's plenty more to see and do around it once you've stepped off the ice.
