Liverpool Basketball vs Sheffield Sharks 2027

Liverpool Basketball take on the Sheffield Sharks at the M&S Bank Arena on Friday 19 February, a league fixture that brings one of the biggest names in British basketball to the city.

For those who haven't been following, Liverpool Basketball is the city's new team, and this is part of their first Super League Basketball campaign. The Sharks are a different story: one of the most respected names in the British game, known for their competitive edge and a long track record of success. It's a bit of a clash of eras, with the new club testing itself against an established side that's been around the block.

For Liverpool, it's another chance to show how far they've come during this first season. The club describes the game as elite-level basketball, with a focus on athleticism and intensity, and it's a good way to see where they stand in the league as the campaign rolls on. If you're just getting into the sport, this is exactly the kind of match to start with: a new local side going head-to-head with a side that's been at the top for years.

Doors open at 6:30pm, with tip-off at 7:30pm, so there's plenty of time to get settled before the game starts. One thing to keep in mind if you're bringing the family: under-14s have to be accompanied by an adult.
