Europe's top wheelchair basketball teams compete at the M&S Bank Arena, with LA 2028 Paralympic qualification on the line.
The IWBF Wheelchair Basketball European Championships are coming to the M&S Bank Arena from 11 to 19 September 2027, bringing eighteen of Europe's top men's and women's wheelchair basketball teams to Liverpool for nine days of competition. It's the first time the Championships have been held in the UK since 2015, and the biggest wheelchair basketball event staged on home soil in more than a decade. The tournament is held in association with British Wheelchair Basketball.
There's a lot on the line here. Beyond the European title, direct qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games is up for grabs, so the stakes are high from the first tip-off. Both Great Britain's men's and women's teams will be competing for a spot in LA in front of a home crowd, and they've both got recent form to build on. The men arrive as Paris 2024 Paralympic silver medallists and 2023 European champions, while the women took European silver in 2023 and 2025 before finishing fifth at Paris 2024. With eighteen teams across the men's and women's competitions, the schedule runs over nine days, so you can catch a few separate games or settle in for the whole thing.

If you want to see it all, there's an All-Access Pass for £120, which covers the full run of the championships, with a child's pass for £20. With the games spread across the nine days at the M&S Bank Arena, you can pick and choose your days or go for the full run.
