Halloween-themed craft night where attendees paint wine glasses, with all materials provided, for people living with chronic illness, disability and neurodivergence.
The Healing Hive are hosting a Halloween craft night at Pocket Cafe Bar on Tuesday 20 October, from 6:30pm to 8:00pm. The evening is built around painting wine glasses, with the Halloween theme running through the session as a festive atmosphere settles in. All the materials are provided on the night, including the glasses and the acrylic paint pens, so you don't need to bring a thing.
It's worth knowing who's behind it. The Healing Hive runs its craft nights as cosy, creative evenings for people living with chronic illness, disability and neurodivergence. They describe it as a chance to meet your people, relax and connect with others who truly understand what it's like. The whole thing is run by The Healing Hive, a community organisation that centres its workshops around accessibility and peer support.
If you're fancying a night of making rather than a big party, this is a good shout. You'll spend the session painting your own glass, and since it's a Halloween edition, there's plenty of room to lean into the spooky side of things. Drinks and sweet treats are available at the venue, so you can keep yourself going while you work. It's a relatively short session, running for an hour and a half, which keeps it manageable if you're not used to long evenings out.
