Christmas Special: Saturday Cabaret | FunnyBoyz Liverpool

FunnyBoyz Liverpool are taking over the Supper Club at Blundell Street for a Christmas Special on Saturday 5 December, from 19:00 to 23:00. It's part of a run of Saturday cabaret nights they've got lined up across December, so if you're looking for something to do on a weekend in the run-up to the big day, this is one of them.

The line-up is a bit of a mixed bag, which is the whole point of a cabaret night. They pull in tribute acts, comedians, and live vocalists from The Voice and The X Factor, alongside stars from RuPaul's Drag Race and a mix of local and international talent. It's less of a single act and more of a variety show, so you'll get a few different things on one bill rather than one person doing the whole night.

The venue has a bit of history to it. The Supper Club at Blundell Street bills itself as Liverpool's oldest and most established cabaret bar, and it's been bringing live entertainment to the city for almost 30 years. It got a new lease of life under FunnyBoyz owner and Liverpool Z-list celebrity Linda Gold, who's the one behind the current run.

Beyond the stage, there's a few extras to keep in mind. You get unlimited popcorn all night, and they do special ticket packages for celebrations like hens and birthdays, so it works as a group thing as well as a night out.
