Christmas Comedy Bingo

Christmas Comedy Bingo is coming to St Anne's Parish Centre on Friday 4 December, just as the city starts to lean into the festive season. It's exactly what the name suggests: a night of bingo with a comedy twist, and since it's a Christmas special, it'll be themed for the time of year. If you've never done comedy bingo before, it's a bit different from the usual high-street version — the bingo is the frame, but the comedy is what fills the gaps between the numbers.

It's the kind of thing that works best when you bring a group along. You'll have your bingo card in front of you, and as the numbers are called, you'll be marking them off, but the whole thing is built around the jokes and the banter that happen in between. The festive theme means the comedy will be tuned to the season, so it's a good shout for a night out with friends or family before the December madness really kicks in.

St Anne's Parish Centre is a well-known spot in the city, and having it there on a Friday night makes it an easy one to build an evening around. You can head in, get your card, and spend the night crossing off numbers while the comedy runs through the middle. It's a relaxed way to get into the Christmas spirit without having to do anything more demanding than listening and marking a few boxes.

It starts at 19:00 on Friday 4 December, and tickets are £11.55. If you're looking for something to do with a group that doesn't involve a full sit-down meal, this is a straightforward option.
