Christmas screening of the film Elf in a heated tent at Calderstones Park, with live music, street food and a festive bar.
The Reader Mansion House in Calderstones Park is bringing Elf back to the big screen this December, with screenings running from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th. It's part of the Christmas cinema season that turns the park into a winter wonderland for the few weeks around the holidays.
The setup is a heated tent strung with twinkly lights, so you can snuggle in and watch the film without worrying about the December chill. It's not just the movie, either: there's live music on the night, freshly made street food, festive specials, and a full bar to keep you going. If you're planning a group trip, it's the kind of thing that works as well for a family outing as it does for a night out with friends.
Elf is the main feature, the Will Ferrell classic about the human raised as an elf who travels to New York to find his father. It's a safe bet for a crowd, and seeing it on a big screen in a tent in the middle of the park gives it a different feel than watching it on the sofa at home.
