Monthly showcase of emerging UK talent at The Cavern Club, with The Folk Drama, The Munyks and Joey & the Hot Tub Boys.
Cavern Originals returns to The Cavern Club on Wednesday 4 November, with The Folk Drama, The Munyks and Joey & the Hot Tub Boys on the bill. It's the club's monthly showcase for emerging UK talent, run in association with Love Lane Brewery and supported by Liverpool City Council's Grassroots Music Venues Support Programme. The night is billed as the stage where tomorrow's headliners play the venue that started it all, and the room itself has hosted the likes of Paul McCartney, the Arctic Monkeys, Crowded House, The Libertines and Adele over the decades.
The Folk Drama formed when Aaron from Edinburgh and Violeta from LA met in a Glasgow pub on Christmas Day 2024. Their debut EP, Not in the next life, came out on Assai/VF records in April 2026, so this is a good chance to hear it live. The Munyks draw on 1960s garage and psychedelic rock, following in the footsteps of The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Doors. Joey & the Hot Tub Boys pair social anxiety and queer euphoria with upbeat, Elton John-esque piano.
