Stand-up show 'On Edge' by Andrew Bird, billed as a new show about the worries of modern life, at Royal Court Liverpool.
Andrew Bird brings his new show On Edge to Royal Court Liverpool on Friday 15 January 2027, playing in The Studio at 1 Roe Street. It's billed as a brand-new hour and a half of stand-up, and the title gives you a fair idea of where he's heading: the whole thing leans on his persona of being perpetually worried or stressed about everything. He works his way through a range of anxieties, from global events and the struggle of finding free parking to his wife hitting perimenopause and raising two teenage kids.
Bird built his following supporting Russell Howard on his national tour, which included four straight shows at The London Palladium, and he's shared stages with Rhod Gilbert, Troy Hawke and Michael McIntyre on an arena tour that took in Wembley and the O2. At the UK Comedy Awards 2023 he was voted Comic's Comic – Best Act, and he was one of only seven comedians to perform in front of Banksy at Dismal Land. He's also written for the recent series of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
