The original cast of The Fast Show reunite for a behind-the-scenes comedy tour celebrating the show's 30th anniversary.
The Fast Show original cast are back at the Liverpool Empire on Sunday 21 February 2027, part of a tour that takes them to theatres across the country. It's a reunion of the full original team: Simon Day, Charlie Higson, John Thomson, Paul Whitehouse, Mark Williams and Arabella Weir. They've toured twice before this, and this run follows on from those two sell-out tours.
The timing is the main thing here: 2027 marks thirty years since viewers first met characters like Suits You Sir, Ted and Ralph, Does My Bum Look Big In This and Competitive Dad. To mark the anniversary, the show gives a behind-the-scenes look at how they came up with the characters and the catchphrases, and recreates some of the programme's favourite moments. It's less a best-of and more a look at how the show was put together, with the cast talking through the process and then stepping back into the roles.
If you remember the original run, you'll recognise the names on the bill. Day, Higson, Thomson, Whitehouse, Williams and Weir were the core group that built the show's gallery of characters, and they're all returning for this one. The tour is a celebration of that thirty-year milestone, so it's as much about the history of the programme as it is about the sketches themselves.
