Leeds indie rock quartet Yard Act play the O2 Academy Leeds on their UK tour of 'You're Gonna Need A Little Music'.
Yard Act are back at O2 Academy Leeds on Friday 6 November, one of the dates on their current UK tour. It's a homecoming of sorts — the quartet formed here in Leeds, and this is one of the stops on a run that takes them across the country.
They're touring their third studio album, You're Gonna Need A Little Music, and the set will be built around it. If you've followed them since they first appeared, you'll know they've built a reputation on their live shows, and that's where the new material will be heard properly. It's a 14-date run in total, and Leeds is one of the stops alongside Newcastle, Glasgow, Sheffield, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Leicester, Nottingham, Cambridge, Oxford, Bristol, Plymouth, Southampton and London.
For a bit of context, Yard Act broke through as a smart, witty new force in British guitar music during the pandemic, and they've been one of the UK's indie success stories of the decade. This is their third album, so they've got a fair bit behind them by now. The Leeds date is part of that wider tour, so it's a chance to hear the new record live in the city where they started.
