Live show by metalcore band Waterlines at Boom in Leeds.
Waterlines play Boom on Sunday 15 November, with the set starting at 7:00 PM. They're a metalcore band from the North West of the UK, formed in late 2022 and fronted by vocalist Benji Mars. Their sound blends nu-metal with EDM and synthwave influences, so it's not your standard metalcore — there's a fair bit of electronic texture running through it.
If you've never seen them live, the thing they're best known for is the 'Daisy Chain Gang'. It's an audience participation bit where hundreds of fans link arms and jump in a coordinated pattern, so it's one of those gigs where you're as much a part of the show as you are watching it. If you're not the type to join in, you'll still get the view of it happening around you.
They've been playing a fair few festivals since their 2023 showcase at Bloodstock, where they headlined the Jagermeister Stage. Since then they've appeared at Takeover at Download, Tech Fest, Radar Fest, Mangata, Hammerdown, Mayday Mayhem, Slaughterhouse and Sanctum Metal Fest, and they've picked up BBC Radio 1 support along the way. This is a headline show at Boom in Leeds, so it's a bit different from the festival slots they've been doing.
