UB40 Experience

UB40 Experience play the Leeds Irish Centre on Saturday 31 October, their only Leeds date that autumn. It's a single-act bill, so they're the only name on the poster for the night.

For those who aren't familiar, the band is a tribute to UB40, the Birmingham reggae outfit that first made a name for itself in the late seventies. They've spent years working through that back catalogue, and that's exactly what they do here: a full set of the songs that made the original band known. If you've got a soft spot for that particular brand of British reggae, this is the one to keep an eye on.

The gig is in the Tara Suite, one of the rooms inside the Irish Centre on York Road, so it's right in the heart of the city. Doors open at 19:00, and tickets are £15 in advance. If you're planning to go, it's worth getting yours sorted early rather than leaving it until the night.
