Drop-in craft sessions for under 5s and their carers, held in the Life on Earth gallery near the polar bear.
Tiny Tigers are back at Leeds City Museum on Friday 23 October, one of a run of Friday morning craft sessions for under-fives and their carers. It's a drop-in, so you don't need to book ahead—just turn up with your little ones and get stuck in. The sessions run from 10:00 to 11:45, and if you can't make this one, there are five more following it: 30 October, 6 November, 13 November, 20 November and 27 November.
They're messy craft sessions, so that's the main thing to keep in mind—babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers are all welcome, and the whole point is to let them get their hands dirty. The museum's Family Favourites team runs them, and they're held in the Life on Earth gallery, right near the polar bear, so it's easy to find once you're inside. It's a good spot for a morning out with the kids, especially if you're looking for something that's more about doing than just looking.
One of the best bits is how the museum handles the cost. Leeds City Museum is a Give What You Can venue, which means there's no fixed ticket price. Instead, they ask you to pick what you can give when you arrive, so cost isn't a barrier to getting in. It's a pay-what-you-can arrangement, and it works the same way for these sessions as it does for the museum itself.
