Irish alt-trad band The Wran perform live at The Attic, Brudenell Social Club, blending traditional music with punk and psychedelia.
The Wran play The Attic at Brudenell Social Club on Sunday 8 November, with the music starting at 19:30. They're an Irish alt-trad band, and this is a headline show in one of Brudenell's smaller rooms.
The band is made up of four brothers from the Comeragh Mountains of County Waterford: Tommy, Danny, SeƔn and Stephen Dunford. They build their sound on traditional music, but they pull in punk and a hint of psychedelia, and they cite Planxty, The Pogues and Lankum as influences. They keep the Irish language, traditional songs and storytelling at the centre of what they do.
It's a relatively new project. They made their live debut in 2025, a year that took them to Glastonbury, Green Man, All Together Now and Electric Picnic, and they followed that up in the autumn with their debut album, The Stone Man. They started 2026 with a sold-out UK tour, so this is a date that comes after a busy run of shows.
