The Pogues, led by original members James Fearnley, Jem Finer and Spider Stacy, play the O2 Academy Leeds on their anniversary tour, with Martin Stephenson & The Daintees.
The Pogues play O2 Academy Leeds on Tuesday 1 December, one of six dates on a short tour. They're coming off the back of anniversary tours across the UK and North America, and they're back on the road led by original members James Fearnley, Jem Finer and Spider Stacy. They're joined by their usual collection of special guest musicians and singers, including the cream of the current generation of Irish artists.
The set draws on the Pogues' songbook, which they describe as one of the most influential and inspiring bodies of work to emerge from the 1980s. They're infusing it with new life, and the songs you'll hear include 'Fairytale of New York', 'Dirty Old Town', 'A Pair of Brown Eyes', 'Rainy Night in Soho' and 'If I Should Fall From Grace With God'. Martin Stephenson & The Daintees open the night.
