The Mersey Beatles, the Liverpool-born Beatles tribute band, play their album around the 60th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.
The Mersey Beatles play City Varieties Music Hall on Friday 7 May 2027, with the show starting at 7:30pm. It's a tribute to the 60th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the 1967 album that's widely considered one of the greatest musical works of all time.
The first part of the night is built around that record, and they bring it to life with period-accurate costumes, instruments, a bit of cheeky Scouse wit, and the era-defining Mersey sound. Once they've worked through Sgt. Pepper's, they move on to the wider Beatles catalogue, from the early songs of Beatlemania through to Abbey Road.
The Mersey Beatles are a Liverpool-born tribute band, and they've been playing since 1999. They built their following with more than 600 appearances during a ten-year residency at Liverpool's Cavern Club before touring the world, drawing more than a million people along the way. They describe themselves as the world's favourite Liverpool-born tribute to The Beatles.
