The Devil Wears Prada play Project House in Armley Road, Leeds, with NOVELISTS, 156/Silence and Oversize.
The Devil Wears Prada play Project House on Wednesday 21 October, with support from Novelists, 156/Silence, and Oversize. It's a full bill, so the night starts well before the headliners take the stage.
For those who haven't followed them, The Devil Wears Prada come from Dayton, Ohio, and have spent their career working the extremes of metalcore — alternating crushing heaviness with heart-wrenching melodies. They've been around long enough to have a few different eras to pull from. With Roots Above and Branches Below (2009) was named one of the five greatest metalcore albums by Revolver, and the Zombie EP (2010) and Dead Throne (2011) both debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200. More recently, 2021's ZII was their sixth straight Top 5 entry on the Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums Chart, and Color Decay (2022) earned a nod from Metal Hammer, which called it perhaps their finest hour. Their ninth full-length, Flowers, came through Solid State.
On stage, the band is Mike Hranica on vocals, Jeremy DePoyster on guitar and vocals, Kyle Sipress on guitar, Jonathan Gering on keys, synths, programming, and percussion, and Giuseppe Capolupo on drums. With keys and programming in the mix, there's a bit more going on than just guitars and drums.
