New staging of Simon Stephens' stage adaptation of Mark Haddon's novel, directed by Ned Bennett, at Leeds Playhouse.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time comes to Leeds Playhouse from Tuesday 26 January to Saturday 30 January 2027. It's a brand-new staging of the stage adaptation of Mark Haddon's novel, which sold around 10 million copies and later inspired a National Theatre production. Simon Stephens wrote the script, and Ned Bennett directs.
The story centres on Christopher Boone, who has a brilliant mind for numbers but finds the unpredictability of people and everyday life unsettling. When a neighbour's dog is found killed, he falls under suspicion and becomes both detective and suspect in a mystery that grows darker and more complex. It's described as one of the most immersive and inventive shows on Broadway, combining the intrigue of a whodunnit with a coming-of-age story.
