Free family trail at Leeds City Museum, part of Baby Week Leeds, to find the toy and real bears on display.
Leeds City Museum is running a Teddy Bear Trail from Saturday 14 November to Friday 20 November, starting at 11:00 each day. It's part of Baby Week Leeds, and the whole thing is free, so it's an easy one to drop into over a weekend or a few days off. The idea is simple: you bring along your own teddy and take them around the museum to find the toy and real bears on display. It's a trail, so the goal is to spot as many as you can while you're wandering through.
If you've not spent much time there, the museum is right in the city centre and built for families. It's a previous winner of the national Kids in Museums Family Friendly Museum Award, and that comes through in the hands-on exhibits and the mini dig zones. There's the Voices of Asia gallery, Toddler Town for the smallest ones, and the Herbarium Café if you need a break. There's also The Preservative Party, a young curators' group that gets kids involved in the museum's work.
They've put a fair bit of thought into access, too. There's a Changing Places toilet, lift access to all floors, and BSL videos in the Life on Earth gallery, so it's a place that works for almost everyone. Just keep in mind that the museum is closed on Mondays, so if you're planning a visit during the week, that's the one day to avoid.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Leeds and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
