Festive drop-in sing-along around a Christmas tree led by Nicky Bray at Abbey House Museum, included in admission.
Sing Around A Christmas Tree is on at Abbey House Museum on Saturday 5 December, from 12:00 to 13:00. It's a community sing-along around a Christmas tree, with Christmas carols at the centre of it. Nicky Bray is leading the session, so you'll have someone to follow rather than just diving in on your own.
It's a drop-in session for families, which means you just turn up when you're ready—there's no need to book separately. If you're out with kids on a Saturday morning, it's an easy one to slot in without having to plan it weeks in advance.
The museum itself is built around Victorian Leeds, with childhood stories at its heart. The programme they run there ranges from family sessions and school holiday activities to adult study days, workshops, curator talks and community events. The Victorian Streets come alive with period atmosphere, and the Arbeau Dancers—a historical dance group with a repertoire spanning some 600 years of dance—lead visitors through them. This sing-along sits within that family-friendly side of things, so it's as much about the museum as it is about the carols.
