Beginner-friendly sculpting session with air-dry clay led by Paintvine, with drinks available at the venue bar.
Paintvine is bringing its Sculpt and Sip session to The Northern Market on Saturday 21 November, from 2 pm to 4 pm. It's a two-hour sculpting workshop run by an artist, and they've aimed it squarely at complete beginners and creative enthusiasts — you don't need any prior sculpting experience to get stuck in.
The session works with premium air-dry clay, which is the handy part: your piece continues to harden naturally over the following days once you've taken it home, so there's no need for a kiln. The atmosphere is social and relaxed, and they take photos throughout the session to share on their social media, so it's as much about the afternoon as it is about what you end up making.
Paintvine describes itself as one of the UK's leading creative experience companies, having welcomed more than 80,000 guests to its beginner-friendly art events across more than 20 cities nationwide. They run public sessions at partner venues like this one, alongside private experiences at a location of the customer's choosing, so they're used to working with people who've never touched clay before.
