Stand-up show 'Stuff' by Yorkshire comedian Scott Bennett, in which he tries to cleanse his life of 'stuff' against the environmental crisis.
Scott Bennett brings his new show Stuff to City Varieties Music Hall on Saturday 11 September 2027. It's a solo stand-up set that runs about two hours and ten minutes, including an interval, so you'll have plenty of time to stretch your legs halfway through.
The show follows Bennett as he tries to cleanse his life of 'stuff' — the physical and mental clutter we all accumulate — and he frames the whole thing against the backdrop of the looming environmental crisis. It's a personal premise that he pulls out into something larger, and it's recommended for ages 16 and over.
Bennett is a Yorkshire comedian and product designer, and he draws his routines from real-life experience. He's an award-winning act with a fair bit of credit behind him: he's been on BBC Radio 4 and on Live at the Apollo, The News Quiz, The Now Show and Chortle, where he was a Best Club Comedian Nominee in 2022. He's also been named English Comedian of the Year Runner Up, Comedy Cellar New Act of the Year and Old Speckled Hen Comedian of the Year. The Evening Standard once called him 'live comedy's best kept secret', and critics have described him as a 'Yorkshire live wire with an undeniable no-nonsense logic'.
