Live alt-soul show by Rob Green, with his loop pedal and acoustic guitar, on The Undercover Tour.
ROB.GREEN plays The Cardigan Arms on Thursday 5 November, part of The Undercover Tour. He's a British alt-soul artist, and the set draws on the R&B, soul, indie, rock and gospel he grew up on, with songs about identity, love, belonging and becoming.
On stage, he usually works with little more than a loop pedal, an acoustic guitar and his soulful voice, moving between euphoric choruses and raw, close-up connection. He's opened arena shows for Earth Wind & Fire, Eric Bibb and Whitney Houston's Hologram Tour, and he's known for turning a room of strangers into a crowd singing together.
The Undercover Tour is built around a particular idea: turning vintage shops, cosy coffee houses and local workspaces into warm, intimate living rooms filled with music, storytelling, poetry and ambience. The Cardigan Arms fits that bill, and the night is as much about the storytelling and the atmosphere as it is about the songs.
