Live 90s dance anthems show by the seven-piece UK band Rhythm of the 90's at Project House on Armley Road.
Rhythm of the 90's play Project House on Friday 13 November, bringing their take on the 90s dance floor to Armley Road. They're a seven-piece band that plays fully live, so rather than a DJ set, you've got a proper band on stage. The whole thing is built around the electronic dance music of the 1990s, played with the energy of a live gig.
Their set runs up to two hours, and they've played it at sold-out shows across the UK. They've also appeared at festivals like Glastonbury, Victorious, Love Saves The Day, Latitude, Y NOT, Truck and Hamburg Pride, so they're used to playing for big, mixed crowds. Reviewers have called them possibly the best covers band in the world.
If you've spent any time in a club or at a house party with a 90s dance playlist, you'll recognise the territory they're working in. The seven-piece format means they're not just playing tracks back; they're recreating them on the fly, which changes the feel from a DJ set to a live show. With two hours to fill, they've got plenty of room to work through the era.
