High-energy festive pantomime with audience participation and a jukebox of iconic rock anthems performed live by actor-musicians.
Rapunzel: The Rock 'n' Roll Panto runs at City Varieties Music Hall from 27 November 2026 to 10 January 2027. It's a high-energy take on the festive pantomime that blends audience participation, cheesy jokes and a jukebox of iconic rock anthems, with every note performed live by a cast of actor-musicians. It follows a string of Leeds Heritage Theatres panto hits including Aladdin, Jack and the Beanstalk and Red Riding Hood.
The Yorkshire Times called it the company's 'Grade A panto', and past reviews have hailed it as 'the pinnacle of panto' and 'a perfect Christmas treat for the whole family'. The show runs up to two hours and thirty minutes, including a twenty-minute interval. It's not recommended for under-4s, and ear defenders are advised for younger children. Any child aged one and over needs a ticket.
