Intimate 14+ gig where Rachel Chinouriri plays her latest album 'i think i spoke too soon' with a Q&A.
Rachel Chinouriri plays The Wardrobe on Tuesday 20 October, an intimate show celebrating her latest album, i think i spoke too soon. It's not a standard gig: the night is a stripped-back performance followed by a Q&A, so you'll hear the songs in a quieter setting and then get to hear her talk about them afterwards. There's no support act, and she starts promptly after doors open, so you won't be waiting through an opening band before she takes the stage.
Chinouriri is an English singer-songwriter who first posted songs on SoundCloud and began releasing music on major streaming platforms in 2018. Her debut EP, Mama's Boy, came out in 2019 to critical acclaim, with the track 'So My Darling' picking up a lot of attention on TikTok. Signed to Parlophone, she followed that with Four° In Winter in 2021 and a third EP, Better Off Without, in 2022. She's been described as one of the UK's most exciting alternative indie pop talents and a leading ambassador of captivating and heartfelt songwriting, and she was shortlisted for the BBC's Sound of 2023 and the Ivor Novello Rising Star Award.
