Paul Heaton brings his new album 'Jenius' to Headingley Stadium with support from Echo & The Bunnymen, The Guestlist and Curiosity Shop.
Paul Heaton plays AMT Headingley Stadium on Saturday 12 June 2027, his first ever headline show at the venue. He's touring Jenius, his twenty-third album and first solo number one, which runs to fifteen new original songs. It was produced by Ian Broudie of Lightning Seeds and recorded at Blueprint Studios in Manchester.
On stage, Heaton is joined by his regular live vocalist Rianne Downey, a Scottish singer-songwriter whose own album The Consequence of Love topped the UK Country chart in 2025. The set doesn't stick to the new record, though; it reaches across his whole career, from The Housemartins and The Beautiful South to his solo work. He first found fame fronting The Housemartins in the early eighties, then formed The Beautiful South in 1988, who went on to release ten albums. He took a break in 2001 for his first solo record, Fat Chance, and in 2011 wrote the musical The 8 with Jacqui Abbott, with whom he recorded five albums.

There's a full supporting line-up to get through before Heaton takes the stage: Echo & The Bunnymen, The Guestlist and Curiosity Shop. With four acts on the bill, it's a long day of music rather than a quick in-and-out. The Leeds date is part of a string of UK and Ireland dates Heaton has announced for summer 2027, so if you can't make this one, there are others on the run.
