After-dark Halloween trail through Lotherton Hall's grounds with live scare actors, turning classic fairy tales into sinister nightmares.
Once Upon A Nightmare returns to Lotherton Hall from 24 to 31 October, the estate's after-dark experience coming back for its third year in partnership with Breeze. It's a Halloween walk through the grounds and woodland, and it's aimed at teens, tweens and adults rather than small children, with age guidance of 9+.
As darkness falls, you follow an illuminated trail through the estate's grounds and woodland, guided by flickering lanterns through eerie mist and shadowed glades where live scare actors wait to surprise you. The stories twist classic fairy tales into sinister nightmare scenarios, rounded out with soundscapes and lighting effects. It's described as less intense than full-scale adult mazes, favouring suspense over extreme gore, so it's more of a slow-burn than a jump-scare-every-ten-seconds kind of night.
