Live music gig with Milburn, with support acts The Rosadocs and LEAZES, celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the album 'Well Well Well'.
Milburn are back at O2 Academy Leeds on Saturday 17 October, their first Leeds date in years. The night is a 20-year anniversary celebration of Well Well Well, the album that first put them on the map. It's a specific kind of homecoming, then: the band returning to the city they're from to play the record that started it all, two decades on from when it first came out.
If you've followed them since the early days, you'll know Well Well Well is the one that defined their sound. Hearing it played through in a room like the Academy, rather than on a CD or a stream, is the whole point of the night. It's a chance to hear those songs as a full set, the way they were meant to be played, rather than scattered through a best-of list. The anniversary gives the whole thing a bit of weight, too — it's not just another gig, but a look back at where they started.
They're not taking the stage alone. The Rosadocs and LEAZES are both on the bill, so there's plenty to hear before Milburn come on. It's a full night of live music, with the support acts warming up the room before the main set takes over. The two bands bring their own things to the bill, so you'll get a good stretch of music to work through before the anniversary set kicks in.
