Gig by hard rock band Little Angels with Luke Morley at the O2 Academy Leeds.
Little Angels are back at O2 Academy Leeds on Saturday 14 November, part of a rare UK tour that sees the full original line-up reunite on stage. It's Toby Jepson on vocals, Bruce Dickinson on guitar, Jim Dickinson on keyboards, Mark Plunkett on bass and Mark Richardson on drums. They're touring the Big Bad & Back EP, which they released earlier this year.
If the name doesn't ring a bell, they're a British hard rock band from Scarborough, formed in 1984. They became one of the defining UK acts of the late eighties and early nineties, known for their glam metal sound and high-energy live shows. They took Jam to number one on the UK album chart and put out eleven hit singles, with 'Womankind' and 'She's a Little Angel' among them. This tour brings the original five back together for a run of dates, so it's the full original line-up rather than a later version.
Opening for them is Luke Morley, a long-time friend and contemporary. He co-founded Thunder in 1989 and went on to score seven UK top 10 albums and 18 top 40 singles. His 2023 solo album, Songs From The Blue Room, is a collection of melodic, guitar-driven songs, which fits the bill for a night of hard rock. Between the two, you've got a good stretch of British rock history on one stage.

The venue is O2 Academy Leeds, a 2,300-capacity room on Cookridge Street, housed in a Grade II listed Gothic building that opened as the Coliseum in 1885. Doors open at 19:00 and the curfew is 23:00, so there's plenty of time to get in and settle before the music starts.
