Immersive Halloween scare maze with live actors and cinematic sets in the historic Minton Chambers building.
Leeds Scare Maze is back this Halloween, taking over Minton Chambers from Friday 9 October to Sunday 1 November. This year's theme is Motel of Horrors, and it's the same spot they've used before, so if you've done it in previous years, you'll know the general layout of the building.
It's not a simple walk-through haunted house. The organisers describe it as a fully immersive experience, built on darkness, suspense and carefully crafted scares, with live actors and cinematic sets throughout. That means you're not just strolling past props; there are people in there with you, and the sets are designed to feel like a proper location rather than a few sheets thrown over some furniture. The Motel of Horrors theme gives it a specific setting to work with, and the whole thing is run through the historic surroundings of Minton Chambers, which adds its own weight to the atmosphere.
Because it runs for nearly a month, you've got plenty of time to fit it in. It opens on Friday 9 October and keeps going right through to Sunday 1 November, so you can pick a night that suits you rather than rushing to get there on a single date. If you're planning a group trip, that window makes it a lot easier to coordinate everyone's schedules.
