A night of soul and R&B featuring Lake Street Dive and Mamas Gun at the O2 Academy Leeds.
Mamas Gun are playing the O2 Academy Leeds on Wednesday 21 October, with Lake Street Dive on the bill as well. It's a double bill rather than a single headliner, so you've got two bands to work through in one night.
Lake Street Dive have built their following by pushing the possibilities of pop music as a unifying force, and they describe their sound as an eclectic cross-pollination of soul and other influences. It's a broad enough description to cover a fair bit of ground, and they've made a name for themselves by playing into that rather than sticking to one lane. If you're into soul that doesn't sit too still, that's where they're coming from.

The night is promoted by Brudenell Presents, and the venue is the O2 Academy Leeds at 55 Cookridge St, LS2 3AW. Doors open at 6:00pm, so there's plenty of time to get in and settle before things kick off. The curfew is 11:00pm, which gives both acts a decent run of the stage without the night stretching too late into the week.
