Halloween CSI murder mystery where attendees play detectives to crack a case with Killer Queens, Minnie Bar and a real forensic scientist.
Killer Queens and Minnie Bar are taking over Blayd's Bar on Saturday 31 October for Slay The Scene, a Halloween CSI murder mystery. It's an afternoon session, running from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, so you'll be sorted for the evening rather than staying up late.
The whole thing is billed as a Halloween CSI experience. The idea is that you step into the shoes of a detective and work with Killer Queens, Minnie Bar and a real forensic scientist to crack a murder case. Having a proper forensic scientist in the room is the bit that sets it apart from your usual murder mystery night — it's not just about guessing who did it, but actually seeing how the evidence works. ThinkSafe Forensics is behind the whole thing, and it's part of a series of events they've been putting on.
It's a three-hour slot, so there's plenty of time to get stuck into the case without it feeling rushed. If you've ever spent too much time watching crime dramas and wondered how the actual science works, this is a good place to see it in action. It's a daytime thing, too, which makes it a bit easier to fit in than a late-night Halloween party.
