One-to-one 60-minute sewing workshop for complete beginners, led by an experienced Hobbycraft colleague.
Hobbycraft in Leeds is running one-to-one sewing workshops, with a session on Friday 23 October. It's a 60-minute slot where you're paired up with an experienced Hobbycraft colleague who gives you bespoke guidance on the sewing machine. The whole thing is pitched at complete beginners, so if you've never even touched a machine, you're in the right place.
The beauty of the one-to-one format is that it's entirely about what you need. If you're struggling to get your machine set up and just want to get it running, that's where the hour goes. If you've got the basics down and want to learn a specific sewing technique, that's what you'll focus on. You can even send over the topics and areas you want to cover ahead of the session, so the colleague can prepare something tailored to you rather than starting from scratch on the day.
It's an adults workshop, suitable for ages 14 and over, so it works as much for a teenager as for someone picking up a hobby later in life. Because it's just you and the instructor, you can ask as many questions as you like without worrying about holding up a class. If you're a total novice, that's a fair bit more relaxing than trying to keep pace in a group.

The session costs £28. If you're buying it as a gift, the voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, and the recipient picks a date and time that suits them, so you don't have to worry about their schedule when you buy it. The workshop is held at the Hobbycraft store in Leeds.
