One-to-one hour sewing workshop with an experienced Hobbycraft colleague to help with a participant's own sewing machine, suitable for beginners.
Hobbycraft is running one-to-one sewing workshops at their Leeds store, and the next one is on Wednesday 21 October. It's a full hour with an experienced Hobbycraft colleague, and the whole thing is built around your own sewing machine. That's the key bit: you bring in the machine you actually use at home, so whatever you work through in the session is something you can keep doing once you've left.
Because it's one-to-one, the hour goes wherever you need it to. If you've got a machine that's been sitting in a cupboard because you're not entirely sure how to get it going, they can help you set it up and get it running. If you're already sewing but there's a particular technique you've been wanting to pick up, that's what you spend the hour on. You can even send over the topics you want to focus on ahead of time, so the colleague turns up prepared with a plan for your specific session.
It's pitched as an adults workshop for ages 14 and over, and they make a particular point of welcoming complete beginners, so you don't need to have a sewing project halfway finished to find it useful. If you're just starting out, it's a good way to get a handle on your machine without having to figure it out by trial and error.

The session costs £28, and the voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, so you can book a date and time that suits you. It's available at 98 Hobbycraft locations across the UK, with a variety of dates and times per store, so if you're not in Leeds on the 21st, you can still find a slot that works.
